Dr. Nicole Montague teaches 1st Grade at CIS. Prior to her appointment at CIS, she taught Kindergarten – 4th Grades in a multi-age class with Albuquerque Public Schools. She has also served as a teacher educator at the University level, teaching graduates and undergraduates in bilingual, English as a Second Language (â€œESLâ€) and Special Education at New Mexico Highlands University, and Texas A&M University â€“ Corpus Christi. Since1985, Dr. Montague has taught all levels of elementary school in English and Spanish.
Dr. Montague holds a PhD in Language, Literacy, and Social-Cultural Studies, a M.A. degree in Bilingual, ESL Special Education and, a B.S. degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish.
