Ms. Nancy Light is a retired 6th Grade Language Arts Teacher and a counselor with a Masters in Community Counseling. She began teaching in 1972 in Boulder, CO before moving to NM to the Zuni Indian Reservation. During her 13 years there she was a teacher, program developer/director, curriculum developer, and Substance Abuse Prevention (SAP) Specialist. In 1984 her community-wide SAP program in Zuni won the NM Exemplary Program award and in 1988 she won the NM Outstanding Teacher Award. During retirement she had her own business as a program/curriculum developer and national trainer for 12 years.
After realizing how much she missed kids, Ms. Nancy joined CIS in 2008. She was born in Cleveland, OH, raised in Nashville TN and Colorado Springs CO, and has been in NM for 34 years. Birthplace: Cleveland, OH Languages Spoken: English
