CIS Councils & Committees
School councils are to assist principals in: Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards. Identifying the educational needs of students attending the school.
Committees
School Advisory Committee
The SAC is an elected decision-making group comprised of parents, community members, site administrators, teachers and other staff. At the secondary level, students are included. The SAC has an ongoing responsibility to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate plans for student achievement and school growth. The SSC also oversees categorical funds, funds for teachers, and school activities.
Parent Teacher Association
The PTA provides funds for field trips and clubs, coordinates special events like International Day celebration and provides families with a way to be an important part of their children’s education. The PTA supports teachers and students by offering opportunities to explore IB principles by creating and encouraging a supportive community for CIS families, teachers and administration through the Healthy Families Initiative and community events.
CIS Foundation
The Foundation provides funding and other means of support to enhance the mission of Corrales International School. The primary focus of the Foundation is to support the educational pursuits of students through programming, facility enhancements, and supplemental faculty resources. Realizing that Corrales International School and its families benefit from participation in the greater community, the CIS Foundation also endeavors to provide opportunities to enrich the quality of life in the region surrounding our school.
