CIS is the first authorized public school in Albuquerque for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program (PYP) in New Mexico.

IB schools share a common philosophy: a commitment to a high quality, challenging, international, and multilingual (English, Spanish, Mandarin) education. CIS focuses on Spanish immersion (K-5) and Mandarin Chinese instruction (6-10).
